Annual Riverhaven Summer Ride
On Saturday, July 23, be sure to be at the Mahoney's river house for the annual Riverhaven Summer Ride...or this year,
Summer Ride or Not. Due to what seems to be an unusually harsh summer, so far, the Riverhaven ride has much less emphasis
on cycling with more of a thought that we'd just like to get together and chill. Cool beverages on the decks.
Cool breezes from the river. Boat rides and swimming. Come out and chill (slang for relax...there isn't likely
to be any chill to it!) Cycling is optional. Bring the bike and come in time for a 9:00 roll out and I'm sure
you can find company. Please Note: There Will Be No Life Guard On Duty!!! Children are always welcome at
HATS events, but if you bring children, you MUST supervise them. This is a river property and has the risks associated
with such. Lunch will begin with snacking at about 11:00. Bring a meat to grill and a side dish to share.

June In-Town Ride with lunch
Join us for an in-town ride on Sunday, June 12, on what is known as the Wedniter route for a 30 mile ride, at the pace
of the slowest couple, with lunch at Dimassis. The ride will start at 8:00 AM at the Fleshman's house inside the
loop at 3711 Glen Haven, second block east of Stella Link and fourth block south of Bellaire Blvd. If you want to join
us for lunch but not ride, or perhaps do your own ride to lunch, we will be at the Dimassis on Richmond between Sage and the
West Loop. Bring lots of water for the ride, though there will be a refill at Discovery Green about half way through
the ride. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL!!! I can personally vouch for a decent ride if we can roll out on time. The
temp will rise quickly through the morning and if we don't start on time those last few miles from Dimassis will feel
like God knew we missed church to play around and let Lucifer take us.

January, 23, 2011, The Chili Ride Not that
I'd know, but the day seemed perfect for a bike ride. The food, I'm told, was plentiful and I'll vouch that
some of it was delicious. The group was sympathetic and interested.

March 13, 1999 St. Patrick's Day Parade A small contingency
of intrepid HATS members joined the strip joints, bars, eateries of Richmond Street and others in the frigid cold to celebrate
St. Paddy's day. Things to note: our clothing (it was bitterly cold!), how small Amanda was, the "clown
bikes" (sorry, Hanz...they didn't believe they were Real bikes) and the Out of Towner HATS.
